BTS Places in Korea: A Fan's Guide
Last checked: October 2026. An unofficial fan guide, not affiliated with BTS, BIGHIT MUSIC, or HYBE.
BTS came back as a full group in 2026 with the album ARIRANG (March 20), a free comeback show in Gwanghwamun Square, and a world tour that played Goyang (next to Seoul) in April and Busan in June. If you're visiting Korea as ARMY, these are the public places worth going to, and how to get there.
- First stop
- HYBE building, Yongsan
- Trainee days
- Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam
- Busan
- Gamcheon mural
- Day trip
- Jumunjin bus stop
Visit public places only. Don't go to members' or their families' homes, schools, or places they're staying, and don't wait for them at airports or buildings. These pages leave such places out on purpose.
Seoul
HYBE building (Yongsan)
Line 4 Sinyongsan
- BTS's agency headquarters at 42 Hangang-daero. A photo out front is the first stop for most fans.
- Lobby pop-up store: since March 2026, part of the 1st-floor lobby is a pop-up store that changes with each HYBE album release (it opened with "BTS POP-UP: ARIRANG"). Entry is by advance booking on Weverse only, to stop crowds forming around the building. Check Weverse and HYBE MERCH on X for what's on.
- The HYBE Insight museum closed in January 2023 and hasn't reopened.
- Without a booking, take your photo outside and move on. Don't wait at the entrance.
Trainee days in Nonhyeon-dong (Gangnam)
The neighborhood where BTS lived and trained before their debut. Gangnam District features these spots in its own 2026 magazine.
- Yoojung Sikdang (유정식당), 14 Dosan-daero 28-gil: a small restaurant where the members ate as trainees. The walls are covered with member photos and fan messages. Fans order the black pork stone-pot bibimbap, known as "Bangtan bibimbap". Check opening hours in Naver Map before going.
- Hakdong Park: a small neighborhood park that fans know as a place from those years, about 10 minutes' walk from Hakdong Station.
Line 7 Hakdong
This is a residential area. Keep your voice down and don't block doorways.
Palaces
- BTS performed in hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace for an American TV show in 2020, and fans now visit in hanbok themselves (entry is free if you wear one). See the Seoul palace guide for hours and closed days.
Seoul Forest
- Fans have created small garden areas with benches named after members: RM Forest, SUGA Forest, and J-hope Forest (added to mark his discharge from military service).
- Seoul Forest is next to Seongsu-dong, so pair it with an afternoon there. See Seongsu.
National Museum of Korea
- RM is known for visiting museums, and this is one fans connect with him. In 2026 the museum shop made goods in collaboration with the ARIRANG album.
Nodeul Island (Han River)
Line 9 Nodeul Exit2
- An island under Hangang Bridge with lawns, a riverside walk, a gallery, and a live music hall. Fans visit it as a filming spot from the "Run" music video, as seen in BTS pilgrimage videos.
- About 9 minutes' walk from Exit 2: head toward Hangang Bridge, about 700 m. Many buses also stop at Nodeul Island (stop 03-340), including 150, 151, 152, 500, and 750A.
- The outdoor areas are open 24 hours. Indoor facilities are closed on Mondays and open 10:00–21:00 Tuesday–Friday and 10:00–22:00 on weekends from March to October, and 10:00–20:00 from November to February.
- Part of the island is under construction until 2030 for a new arts complex. A new 1.5 km riverside walk and gardens opened in September 2026.
Busan
Jimin and Jungkook are both from Busan, and BTS played two sold-out shows at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12–13, 2026.
Gamcheon Culture Village mural
- A large mural of Jungkook and Jimin in the hillside village, popular with fans from around the world.
- How to get there and village etiquette: see Gamcheon in the Busan guide.
Day trip: the Jumunjin "BTS bus stop"
- The bus stop on the cover of You Never Walk Alone (2017), rebuilt as a photo spot on Hyangho Beach, Jumunjin, in Gangneung. It's not a working bus stop.
- Gangneung City featured it as a recommended spot in March 2026, so it's still there.
- Gangneung is on the east coast, a long day trip from Seoul. Tour companies also sell packages that include it.
Where to buy albums and merch
Ktown4u COEX
Line 2 Samseong Exit5
- A big K-pop store on floors 2–4 of COEX Artium, with a café and pop-up space. The 2nd and 4th floors are open 11:00–20:00, the 3rd floor 12:00–22:00.
- From Exit 5 or 6, cross Millennium Square and take the stairs beside Starbucks.
Ktown4u Insadong
Line 3 Anguk Exit6
- 3rd floor of the Annyeong Insadong building, about 120 m along Insadong-gil. Open 12:00–20:00.
K-POP SQUARE Hongdae
Line 2AREXGyeongui-Jungang Line Hongik Univ.
- The former LINE FRIENDS flagship in Hongdae, reopened in June 2025 as a K-pop character store. It sells BT21 goods among other K-pop characters.
- 141 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu. Open 11:00–22:00.
If BTS plays Korea again
No more Korea dates have been announced as of October 2026; the tour continues in Latin America and Asia-Pacific into March 2027. Here's what the 2026 Korea shows were like, so you know what to expect next time.
- Entry: a mobile QR ticket (screenshots don't work), an ID check that must match the ticket holder, and a wristband put on by staff. There were random re-checks inside. Bring your passport.
- Don't buy resale tickets. Because IDs are checked at the gate, resold tickets don't get you in, and since August 28, 2026, illegal resale can be fined up to 50 times the sale price.
- Busan, June 2026: the metro ran an hour later than usual (last trains from Sports Complex Station after 1 a.m.), taxi-app calls were blocked near the stadium, and the city cracked down on hotels and unregistered rentals that raised prices. Book your room early, and only through registered lodging.
Fan etiquette
- Book pop-ups and events where booking is required, and follow staff and fence lines at events.
- Cross the road at crossings. Crowds of fans walking in the road have led to warnings in Busan.
- Fan-made spots like the Seoul Forest benches belong to everyone. Don't remove plaques or damage plants.
