What we collect
- No accounts, no sign-up or contact forms. You can use every page and tool on this site without signing up or giving us any personal information.
- Our tools run in your browser. When you type your name into the name converter, that happens on your device; we don't receive or store what you type. Playing a phrase aloud uses your browser's built-in speech feature, and some browsers use an online voice service for it.
- Addresses with your input. Search terms (
/search/?q=…) and shared name-converter links (?name=Michael) are part of the web address, so they appear in our hosting provider's standard request logs like any other address. - Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Fonts. Pages load the Pretendard font from the jsDelivr content network, which receives your IP address when the font is downloaded.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find them, so we know which guides to improve. It sets cookies and collects data such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you, and your device, browser, and approximate location (country and city). It doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't combine it with anything that identifies you.
- Learn how Google uses this data: How Google uses data from partner sites.
- You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Cookies and advertising
We plan to show ads through Google AdSense. When ads are on, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: How Google uses data from partner sites.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
- Visitors in US states with privacy laws, such as California, can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for targeted advertising with the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link that Google shows on our pages.

Our guides link to official websites and other sources. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies when you visit them.
